To get a job: scroll down to the Ministry of Magic, and you will find jobs there
moving up the ranks: to see what you need to move up the ranks, click on "moving up in years" and go to "What you need to move up in rank"
Get your supplies: go to Diagon Alley and post a reply in whatever shop has the item you want; your wand and first book are free!
How to get galleons:
1. post, post and more post! (1 galleon per post)
2. some contests/trivia questions award galleons
3. get a job! (if there are any available!)
How to get House Points:
1. some contests
2. in some classes, doing your homework
How to send a PM:
-click on person's name that you want to PM (private message), and it will have an option to send a PM
Passwords:
You get passwords to get into restricted areas, such as common rooms, the teachers' lounge, etc. If you are authorized to be in those areas, you get a password! If you forget, PM whoever is in charge of that area to give you the password!
